COVID-19 conversations

The pandemic has been with us for over a year, and it’s still not business as usual. What’s best for self-employed professionals to be doing right now? What are we struggling with?We definitely don’t have all the answers, but we have some ideas that can help. And some of you have experience that could help others. Let’s get together and talk about it.

We’re offering these free “office hours” once per month. You’re invited to join us to discuss your practical concerns about keeping your business alive while staying productive and sane during this crisis.

Come with your personal questions, issues, and wonderings, or just to spend quality time with other self-employed professionals. We’ll have an open conversation about whatever issues show up.

We’ll be meeting at the date and time below. There’s no charge to participate. Please register to receive an invitation to this session:

Friday, July 23

10:00-11:00 am Pacific Daylight Time
1:00-2:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time
6:00-7:00 pm British Summer Time

The session will be held using Zoom video conferencing. You do not need a webcam to participate. If you don’t have online access, you can also participate by phone.

Please note: The July 23 session will be our last meeting in the Pandemic Office Hours format. In September. we’ll be offering some new ways for self-employed professionals to be in community and support each other.

What will we talk about? Issues like these:

  • How do you plan ahead when everything is still so uncertain?
  • Applying for forgiveness on Paycheck Protection Program loans
  • Am I the only one feeling overwhelmed, tired, and unfocused or is it everyone?
  • I need to ramp up my business for post-COVID recovery. What should I be thinking about?
  • How should I approach old contacts who I haven’t been in touch with for a while?
  • What are the best tech tools to help with operating a one-person business?
  • What can you do if you need business tomorrow?

We’ll answer what questions we can, make suggestions from our own experience, and give others the opportunity to share their own ideas about what’s appropriate and possible.

There’s no charge for this session. We’re all in this together, and we want to help as many of you as possible get through it.

The session will be recorded for our own internal use only. No recordings will be available to those who can’t attend. These sessions are intended for live participation.

Please register to receive an invitation to upcoming sessions. You only need to register once for all dates.

The session will be held using Zoom video conferencing. You do not need a webcam to participate. If you don’t have online access, you can also participate by phone.
